Stornoway, the principal town of the Island of Lewis in the Western Isles of Scotland, is home of the Lewis Pipe Band. The Band parade in the town centre every Saturday evening from the end of May till the end of August, weather permitting! The Band is purely a voluntary body, and a registered charity, the Members receive no payment for their services, and is totally dependent on public support for its continued existence.
